Superficial skin fungal infections
This is a group of skin diseases caused by pathogenic fungi including dermatophytes, yeasts or moulds. It is more commonly seen in hot and humid environment. Annular scaly skin erythema is usually seen over skin folds but occasionally it can mimic other skin diseases which may lead to delay in treatment. The rash is usually self limiting for immunocompatent patients.
Treatment including life style modification, topical antifungal or even oral antifungal if the disease is severe.
